Your privacy is important to us. That's why we only collect and retain as much information as is needed to provide you with the experience you expect. We may update this Privacy Policy in the event changes are made to the nature and treatment of the information we collect.

This Privacy Policy covers how Unicorn Dream Factory LLC ("we") collects and treats information when you use the Period iOS application ("Period").

When you use Period, you accept and agree to this Privacy Policy.

Collection, Use & Sharing of Information

Simply put, we collect information you intentionally enter into Period so we can deliver our core service, namely menstruation tracking.

We collect very little information from and about you. We don't keep user accounts. That means we don't collect or store phone numbers, email addresses, or passwords.

Period doesn't display any advertising, and thus we don't engage in the collection and sharing of information related to advertising, notably targeted advertising.

We don't rent, sell, or share any information we collect.

We would only disclose or share information if required by law or in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal, suspicious, or potentially harmful activities in violation of the Terms of Service or as otherwise required by law.

For the most part, all data is stored on your device. If you are running version 2.0 or later, you can easily delete your data by following the Delete option under Settings.

If you are running version 2.0 or later, subscribed to the Period annual subscription, and signed in with Apple ID, your data is also backed up to our servers and synced across your other devices if the Period app is installed and you are signed in with the same Apple ID.

If you set up or use chat, we store values you entered for "name" and "code name," as well as associated messages, and we share those with participants in your chat since that is the nature of messaging. Your "name," "code name," and messages are not shared with others in any way beyond the chat experience.

If you choose to Connect to Apple Health, we share period, sex, discharge, weight, temperature, and physical entries with Apple Health. We also receive that data from Apple Health. You can turn on and off data sharing with Apple Health anytime in Period on the Settings screen.

You can stop the collection of information by uninstalling Period.

This Privacy Policy may change for any reason, including in the event we are acquired by or merged with another company.
